Hi everyone! Sorry about the lack of posting here lately, I have been one very busy girl here in the big city of Paris. What have I been up to? That is what this post is all about!
Anyone who has followed the blog for the last few years knows that the ultimate goal of the Blog was to one day open an actual store front bakery. Ladies and gentlemen the time has come!
I decided to change the name of the bakery just slightly to Bertie’s CupCakery instead of Bertie’s Bakery. I made this little change because of the different translations in languages. Everyone pretty much knows what a “Cupcake” is no matter what the language, but over here in France a “bakery” can mean so many things! For now, to ensure quality, Bertie’s will be baking up Cupcakes only, as I start to settle in I hope to also accept orders for custom cakes.
As for the blog here at Bertie’s Bakery, I am not sure what will come of it. I would still like to write about the day in the life of me, my triathlon endeavors, running, and hanging out with “The Boss”, but I am not sure how it will fit with an actual functioning business. That part is TBD!
As for keeping informed with the construction of the CupCakery, opening dates, and new cupcake innovations I encourage you to head over to the NEW website and check it out. There is a “Newsletter” sign-up page as well to stay informed over the next few weeks as we finish the last coat of paint and hang the signs!
