Holy cow! After all that work and craziness the last few months, it’s all over! I have had sneezing fits that seemed to last longer than my wedding day!
I thought I would write this short post, complete with a few pictures, because I know you all might be wondering how the big day went (and because this is all we have until the photographers give us the real shots… Thanks to Bruce and Drew for taking and sharing these great pictures with us)!
Buuuuut before I give you all of the good pictures I have to say, in the 3-4 days leading up to and including the wedding EVERYTHING that could have possibly gone wrong did! So much so, that in my Dad’s toast at the end of the dinner he said, and I quote, “Every wedding experiences hiccups. That’s just part of the process of getting married and building a strong foundation to a marriage. However, every single detail for this wedding that could have possibly experienced a hiccup… Burped!….” Hahahaha I’ll have to make a list post for your entertainment on what we “went through” all the way up to the Pastor showing up 45 minutes late (which put us in the dark for the ceremony)!!! In the end, the rain stopped for the EXACT 20 minutes or so that the ceremony took place and the rest of the evening turned out to be the best night of my life! The best part of the whole experience is that I married my best friend.
Enjoy the pictures!
Also, I’ll be posting though out the next 2 weeks on all of the wedding details my mom and I created, my “grooms cake”, and my experience creating my very first “Bertie’s Bakery Wedding Cake” (yes, I was crazy enough to make my own wedding cake, in a foreign country, in different humidity climate, with everything in Spanish, and working out of a refrigerator for 6 hours!) Can’t wait to hear what you think!
And now we are off to I don’t know where for our honeymoon! I was told to bring my passport, dresses, and bathing suits :) I let you know when I do!
