I’ve been a busy bee here at the bakery. Oddly enough it feels like everything that I’ve been working on can’t be revealed yet. If you’re wondering what in the world I am talking about, I’ll remind you that I am entered in this weekend’s National Capital Area Cake Show, and I was crazy enough to enter in three different categories! I am entering a “Novelty Cake”, a “Wedding Cake”, and a set of “Decorated Cookies”.
While I don’t want to reveal all of the cakes and cookies just yet, I thought I might leave you with a brain teaser of what I’ve been working on! You’ll notice that flowers are a main theme!
If you live in the Northern Virginal/ Metro area and you enjoy cake and cupcakes in the least you should definitely make the effort to come out to the show! There are always Food Network starts roaming around, really fabulous cake and sugar creations, ANNND most importantly, there is a people’s choice award that all visitors to the show can vote on! Come find your favorite!

Your roses are AMAZING! Seriously...they are so excellent. And the intricate detail on the white one? I don't think you need luck, Bert, b/c you've got some rockin talent. Have a great time!
